Family System May Vanish In UK
The recent survey done by Office for National Statistics showed the maximum increase in the birth of children since 1970s.
According to this survey, each woman has 1.91 children on average. Last year this average was 1.86.
The two major factors behind this release are –first is the rise is the tendency for foreign-born mothers. Women from India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have larger families and the second reason is the increase in birth rate among women in their 20s.The women in their 30s and 40s are giving birth to more babies due to improved fertility techniques.
According to data collected by ONS, the UK population could reach 71 million by 2031. Migrants and their children will account for 69% of this growth in population.
This survey has released a wave of concern for the sociologists in UK. This survey showed the large increase in the number of births outside marriage. This growth can lead to the permanent destruction of the society pattern of families in UK. This uneven balance between childbirth and marriage can lead to beginning of many harmful trends. It is a well known fact that children born to single parents are more prone to various problems like drugs, violent behavior etc.
