Winfrey had, according to federal tax returns and other reports, accepted the donation for her self-named South African girls’ school, Fox News reports.

The Emmy Awards winner tendered her full support to Obama during his campaign, threw a lavish launch party in his honour, endorsed him on her show, and even cried when he won.

However, it has now been revealed that Winfrey is also a very close friend of Dallas billionaire Harold Simmons, who happens to be a leading Republican donor and supporter of John McCain.

‘Changeling’, directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Angelina Jolie, debuted at number three with 1.2 million pounds.

Espionage thriller ‘Body of Lies’, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, dropped two places to number four.

Washington, Dec 3 : A new report has determined that organizations in the US that are at the highest risk of sustaining damage from climate change, are not adapting enough to the dangers posed by rising temperatures.

The report, titled “The Climate Crisis and the Adaptation Myth” has been authored by Robert Repetto, a senior fellow of the United Nations Foundation.
