London, November 12 : Guns N’ Roses have launched an air guitar competition – and the winner of the contest will get to hear the band''s forthcoming new album before its release.

The fans, who will compete to hear the much-awaited ‘Chinese Democracy’, will have to upload their “craziest, most inappropriate air guitar” attempts to the band''s YouTube channel.

The winner will have the privilege to have a listen of the upcoming sixth studio album at a private ‘rock party’ before its official release on November 24, reports BBC.

The Potter illustration, which shows an unnamed girl rabbit with a pink ribbon tied around her neck drinking with refinement from a teacup, has never been under the hammer before.

‘Lost’ creator unveils first ‘Star Trek’ film footage

London, Nov 12: JJ Abrams, the creator of ‘Lost’, has unveiled footage from his ‘Star Trek’ prequel.

The exclusive footage, which was presented at a press event in London, featured American actor Chris Pine as the young Captain Kirk, Heroes star Zachary Quinto as Mr Spock and Simon Pegg as Enterprise engineer Scotty.

In his introduction, Abrams said he wanted the film, to be released in May 2009, to feel "legitimate and real".

Leonard Nimoy was also seen reprise his role as the older Mr Spock in one of four excerpts from the film.

Although JJ Abrams admitted that he has never been a huge fan of The Star Trek, he would have been jealous if any other director would have taken on the project.

Makeba, 76, who was known affectionately as Mama Africa, suffered a heart attack shortly after a performance on Sunday evening in southern Italy in support of a campaign against organized crime.

Family members, fellow musicians and Arts and Culture Minister Pallo Jordan were at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg to receive her remains.

Takei, 71, who had been part of the Star Trek cast as Mr Sulu, will be taking part in the show, which takes place in the Australian jungle, and he will come face to face with snakes, spiders and politician Robert Kilroy-Silk.

The actor, who is the ITV show’s oldest-ever contestant, has insisted that he will manage to get through it when the series starts on November 15.
