World’s oldest person, 130, credits cottage cheese, sense of humour for longevity!

London, Mar 25 : A Kazakhstan lady, who mothered ten children, will be celebrating her 130th birthday this week, making her the world's oldest person by 16 years.

Sakhan Dosova's age was discovered during a census in Karaganda in northern Kazakhstan, when the date of birth on her passport showed as 1879, which was the same year Edison invented the light bulb and Stalin and Einstein were born.

Dosova's age surprised demographers when they found that she had been on Stalin's first census of the former Soviet region in 1926, when her age was given as 47, and they are now trying to confirm the record.

The administration took around a week’s time to act on the GSPCB warnings after the board notices on March 18.

But, the officials sealed three casinos including Casino Rio, Caravela and Maharaja as they failed to get its approval under rule 5 (1) of the Hazardous Waste Rules.

Fajardo's flare-up, which was caught on a surveillance video, triggered public ire when the footage was uploaded on the popular video sharing site YouTube.

Second man charged in Northern Ireland police killing London  - A second man was charged Tuesday with the murder of a police officer in Northern Ireland just hours after a teenager pleaded innocent to the crime.

Police said a man aged 37 would appear in court on Wednesday in connection with killing of police constable Stephen Carroll, in the town of Craigavon, on March 9.

In addition to murder, the unnamed man was charged with illegal possession of a weapon.

Smuggler wounds Egyptian border guardAl-Arish, Egypt  - A man smuggling African migrants across Egypt's border with Israel opened fire at an Egyptian border guard on Tuesday, seriously wounding him, police said.

Mustafa al-Hamshari, 22, was seriously wounded when a man caught smuggling African migrants across Egypt's border with Israel south of Rafah returned fire, a source in Egypt's security forces told German Press Agency dpa on condition of anonymity.

Al-Hamshari was taken to al-Arish hospital. The smuggler and the migrants he was transporting escaped across the border into Israel, police said.
