Washington, Mar 15 : Women opt out of math/science careers not because they lack mathematical ability, but due to family demands, says a new study.

The research led by Cornell University revealed that women choose non-math-intensive fields for their careers because they want flexibility to raise children, or they prefer less math-intensive fields of science.

London - Three more arrests were made Saturday in the hunt for the killers of two British soldiers and a policeman in Northern Ireland, police said.

The latest arrests in Armagh and near Londonderry - of men aged 41, 32 and 21 - related to the killing of two British soldiers in an attack outside Massereene barracks in county Antrim, north of Belfast, last weekend.

The helpline number '044-25990505' will assist transgenders, whose population is about 50,000 in the state.

The Tamil Nadu AIDS Initiative is being administered by Voluntary Health Service (VHS).

Dr. Lakshmi Bai, Project Director, TAI –VHS, said, “For those who want to understand the issues related to transgenders, this helpline will serve as a gateway of information and counselling.”

Washington, March 14: The Wildlife Conservation Society’s India Program (WCS – India) has released a unique training video on You Tube that showcases the latest scientific methods for estimating the numbers of wild tigers and their prey.

Wildlife filmmaker Shekar Dattatri, in collaboration with Wildlife Conservation Society tiger scientist Dr. K. Ullas Karanth, has produced the 5-part instructional video, titled “Monitoring Tigers and Their Prey – The Right Way.”

The video is based on the acclaimed manual Monitoring Tigers and their Prey edited by Karanth and Dr. James D. Nichols, and is aimed at wildlife researchers, park managers, conservation volunteers, and students.
