Recent study has shown that women who suffer from preeclampsia (or high blood pressure) in their first and second pregnancies have higher risk of hypertension, diabetes and blood clots in later life. Statistics have shown that 10% women in UK suffer from preeclampsia in pregnancy but only 2% to 8% suffer from complications due to it.
Research team from Yale School of Medicine and University of Copenhagen studied the data collected from 11 million women who gave birth in Denmark from 1978 to
2007.
Friday saw an announcement coming from Pakistan sports minister Aftab Jilani that the ministry has no objection to its cricketers competing in the Indian Premier League.
Jilani said, "We feel it's a private league in which Pakistani players compete in an individual capacity."

A 25.39 per cent rise in profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 604.11 crore in the third quarter has been posted by Larsen & Toubro (L&T), the country's largest engineering and Construction Company; the credit of which goes to the strong growth in engineering and construction business.

The Director of space agency Roskosmos' Manned Flight Programmes, Alexei Krasnov announced on Friday that for the sake of future manned missions to the Moon and Mars, Russia is thinking over to develop an orbital station to serve as an assembly platform and springboard.

Due to the deepening recession, a decline in business from the US has been anticipated by India’s largest wind turbine maker, Suzlon Energy.
At the sidelines of a press briefing to announce Q3 results, Sumant Sinha, COO – Suzlon Energy reported, “Currently, US constitutes around 30 per cent of our business but it may come down to 15 per cent in the next fiscal. However, we will keep exploring business opportunities in the Middle East, South Africa, Latin America, Sri Lanka and other countries where we find potential for wind power.”
