Google adds ‘view count’ feature to Google+

Google adds ‘view count’ feature to Google+Tech giant Google Inc has just added a new feature to its social networking service Google+ that shows the number of times a user's content has been viewed by others.

The new feature is thus very helpful in determining if a specific content posted on Google+ is really attracting other users or not.

You can see the view count feature on the left side of your profile in your account on the social network. It appears in the form of a little icon adjacent to your larger image, along with information about yourself such as where you live or did your schooling. Next to your view count, you will be able to see the number of followers you have.

It takes into account all your media, viz. posts, pictures, videos etc. Content posted publicly will naturally attract more views.

Google has declared that a user can not adjust view count settings from Google+ on other platforms like Android, iOS or mobile web. Currently, this features only shows up view count on the web version of Google+.

The new feature is visible to everyone unless you disable it. If you want to disable it, you will have to take your cursor over the navigation button located on the top left side of the screen, and click on "Settings" to get the menu popped out. Then, simply scroll down to "Profile", where you will see "Show how many times your profile & content have been viewed". Just unchecked this box to disable the feature.
