New Delhi, Feb 27 : Union Minister for Science and Technology Kapil Sibal on Friday said the government was making all efforts to encourage development and commercialization of inventions and innovations in the field of scientific research.

"Inventions and innovations are essential for the country's economic development. The Central Government is making all efforts to encourage commercialization in the field of scientific research," Sibal told media persons here.

He also said the government has permitted the researchers to have an equity sake for scientific research.

"For scientific research the government has permitted the researchers to have an equity stake through investment in scientific enterprises," he said. (ANI)
