Chandigarh, Jan 28 : Haryana's former Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan alias Chand Mohammad, who converted to Islam to marry Anuradha Bali alias Fiza, has gone missing.

His wife Fiza today alleged that Mohammad was thrashed before being kidnapped by his younger brother Kuldeep Bishnoi''s goons.

"His brother Kuldeep Bishnoi is behind the crime. He sent criminals who have abducted my husband after beating him badly," Fiza told reporters.

Mohammad's love story rocked the nation when he embraced Islam and lost his Deputy CM position to marry his beloved, Anuradha Bali.

The former Haryana CM Bhajan Lal disowned his elder son, Chander Mohan, for his second marriage, saying it to be a `shameless act''.

Chander Mohan was removed from the post of Deputy Chief Minister for being absent and neglecting his work.

He is also facing a fatwa (edict) for converting to Islam only to get married. (ANI)
