Helena Christensen slapped with $1.75m lawsuit over wooden deck

London, Sep 14: Helena Christensen has been slapped with a 1.75 million dollar suit for troubling her neighbour with excess noise.

Retiree Fran Panasci sued the supermodel because she was sick and tired of noise and vibrations from the wooden deck Christensen built off her Hudson St. home.

The suit, filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, claims that the deck has dented her property and blocked out the sunlight.

“It blocks all light, all air and it's damaging my client's building. I had hoped we could settle this, but Ms. Christensen left us with no choice," the New York Daily News quoted Panasci's lawyer, Elizabeth Harrington, as saying.

Harrington added that Panasci is demanding for a demolition of the deck.

However, Christensen’s spokesman, Jason Deyonker insisted the model has tried to make things right with Panasci since first hearing her complaints last year.

"She's in complete compliance. Her complaints have already been addressed," The deck is legal,” Deyonker said. (With Inputs from ANI)
