High Court Dropped Amitabh’s ‘Land Scam’ Case

Big BLucknow: The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday said that no revenue, civil or criminal case is required against Bollywood icon ‘Big B’ as he had dropped out his claim in the Barabanki land dispute case.

A Bench consisting Justice A.N. Verma said, “There was no finding that the actor himself committed any fraud or manipulated any surreptitious entry in the revenue records.”

Mr. Justice Verma handled Bib B’s postulation challenging the order of Faizabad’s Additional Commissioner nullifying the land allocation at Daulatpur in Barabanki district as withdrawn.

But, the order of the Additional Commissioner would be retained.

The court said, “Mr. Bachchan would not lay any claim on the land in question and his (Mr. Bachchan’s) right, title or interest if any shall stand extinguished.”

Government counsel D.K. Upadhyay ordered he would settle the next strategy after analyzing the decision.

In order to wriggle out of the debate, Mr. Bachchan had discarded his claim over the land.
