HTC launches new mobile phone models at Barcelona

HTC launches new mobile phone models at BarcelonaTaiwanese handset maker, HTC Corp has launched new mobile phone at the the Barcelona Mobile World Congress to take on competition and revive its positions in the market.

The company has launched its HTC One smartphone series to take on rivals in the market. The series include three models, the One X, One S and One V. All the tree devices are powered by the latest version of Google's Android software.

The company is also offering the HTC's ImageSense camera technology in the handset that it claims offers similar photography as other digital cameras with its fast autofocus and low-light shooting. The handset also comes with photo storage and sharing software.

The HTC One smartphone series comes with faster processors for graphics and are packed in either polycarbonate or metal cases that are more resilient than standard covers.

One of Asia leading smartphone maker has brushed off analyst forecasts of the biggest sales drop on record by saying that they do not have enough information about the company's product lineup.

Chief Executive Officer Peter Chou said, "We respect peoples' opinions, they have an opinion based on what they see, that's fine, but they don't know what we're working on. So there's always a gap."

The company has posted lower thane expected results in the last three quarters due to increased competition from Apple Inc.'s iPhone and Samsung Electronic Co.'s Galaxy handsets.
