Ice Cream Company Carvel celebrates ‘Free Cone Day’

The ice cream company Carvel is celebrating 'Free Cone Day' on Thursday. On the day, the company is offering free cones to guests. According to reports, Carvel shops, which have been celebrating the day, will offer guests a free junior cone filled with their choice of freshly made vanilla and chocolate.

Guests will be able to take advantage of the new offer at participating shops from 3 pm to 8 pm. They will also be treated with limited-time soft ice cream made with Ferrero'sNutella hazelnut spread, as per the reports.

This is the first time, when Carvel is going to offer soft ice cream made with Ferrero'sNutella hazelnut spread to customers. Carvel said that the first retail ice cream franchise in the nation is also giving back to the American Red Cross.

While providing information about the Free Cone Day offer, Carvel President Scott Colwell said, "Free Cone Day is always an exciting time but this year is extra special because guests can try our wildly popular soft ice cream made with Nutella - absolutely free".

As per some reports, Carvel certainly is not the only dessert company that givesits guests frozen treats recently. Before this on March 16, thefast food restaurant company Dairy Queen celebrated its 75th anniversary andgave people free small vanilla cones at the participating locations.

In addition, on March 20, Rita's Italian ice offered its customers a free Italian ice, whiledairy company Ben & Jerry's gave customers some of its favorite flavors on April 14 with Free Cone Day.

Now, the participating Carvel shops have been offering customers a $2 coupon book, which is worth more than $20 in savings. According toCarvel, the proceeds from sales of the books will be given to support the Red Cross' disaster relief efforts.
