Indian Hotels enters Chinese market
Indian Hotels, the owner of Taj properties, has informed that its wholly owned subsidiary named Taj International Hong Kong, has signed a management contract with Cuiting Hotspring Hotel Management.

Under the agreement, Taj will operate the latest Temple of Heaven Park property in Beijing and the Hainan Hotel project. Cuiting Hotspring is a subsidiary of Zhong Qi International Investment Company.

The hotel in Beijing will initially open with 46 rooms developed in traditional Chinese style while 60 more will be added a year later, calling for 200 million renminbi (Rs 126 crore) worth of investment from Zhong Qi.

The Zhong Qi Group also plans to develop a 500-key resort with 40 villas over 60 acres of land in Hainan Island, the premium resort destination in China. It would take around three years for the resort to be complete.

The foray into China is part of the company’s highly selective global expansion plan.
