Indian Stocks Trade Positive; Hindustan Aeronautics Announces Stock Spilt and Dividend

Indian markets were trading firm with NSE Nifty up by 72 points and BSE Sensex at 63,210, up by 244 points. Among major gainers in today’s session were HDFC Life, HDFC Bank, HDFC, Axis Bank and Bharti Airtel.

Markets were also helped by positive trade in heavyweight Reliance Industries. Tata Motors, ONGC, Apollo Hospitals, Hindalco, BPCL, Tata Steel and Infosys Technologies were trading positive. Among major losers by afternoon trade were Cipla, Britannia Industries, Tata Consumer Products, UPL, Adani Ports, IndusInd Bank and Eicher Motors

Hindustan Aeronautics has announced Rs 15 per share final dividend. The board has approved split of each share of Rs 10 into two shares of Rs 5 each. Hindustan Aeronautics had earlier declared Rs 20 interim dividend. For the year, shareholders will get Rs 35 per share as dividend. The record date for stock split has been fixed as September 29, 2023. Hindustan Aeronautics has not informed about record date for final dividend.

Cyient DLM IPO was fully subscribed by 1 pm on its first day as per information available on exchange website. Recent IPOs have witnessed strong interest from primary market investors. ideaForge Technology grey market premium was strong after the IPO was oversubscribed massively in the retail investor segment.

European stocks open positive on Tuesday and Indian markets are expected to end today’s trade in positive territory. The F&O expiry will be tomorrow as September 29 is holiday.
