It was reason to rejoice for Serbia as its player made a global impact by winning Porsche Grand Prix trophy on Sunday. Jelena Jankovic, the 23-year-old adds another feather to her cap as she reigns the top slot now.

Jankovic defeated Russia’s Nadia Petrova during the finals in Stuttgart. 

On her performance in last two weeks, the jubilant Jankovic said, "After winning in China I was continuing to improve and playing better and better each time. So second title in two weeks is great,". The sportswoman is now aiming for Grand Slam. It is quite surprising to know that if she manages to be No.1 this season then she’ll be the first one to have so many titles without having the esteemed Grand Slam title. 

Her remarkable performance this year has given her a lead over her rival Serena Williams with 375 points. With Grand Slam awaited next year, the player will be seen in the Sony Ericsson series at the end of this year.
