Microsoft announces to roll back its Xbox Live service
Microsoft has decided to stop providing Xbox live services for its original Xbox and online services for Xbox games playable on the Xbox 360, from April 15, 2010.
While announcing the decision through his blog, Microsoft's Major Nelson informed that in starting of the rolling back of the service the auto renewals will be immediately stopped.
In his blog Nelson further said, "We did not make this decision lightly, but after careful consideration and review we realize that this decision will allow us unprecedented flexibility for future features."
Revealing the possible reason for the roll back, Xbox Live general manager, Mr. Marc Whitten said that the company has planned to upgrade the Xbox Live service as they were not compatible with the older game and consoles.
Although, Mr. Whitten has not informed anything about the upgrades, he signalled that the Project Natal has been scheduled to be commenced by the holiday season of 2010. He added that the year 2010 has been expected as an opportune time for the gaming and home entertainment by his company.
