Mitessh Thakkar: BUY HDFC, NTPC; SELL Titan Company

Market expert Mitesh Thakkar has suggested two BUY Calls and one SELL Call for traders. Indian markets were trading lower on Friday. NSE Nifty recovered smartly from day’s lows but markets were still negative. Japan’s Nikkei index was down by 1.5 percent, Shanghai Stock Exchange was down by 1.3 percent and Hang Seng Index was down by almost two percent.

Thakkar has suggested BUY Call for PSU power major NTPC at current price with a stop loss of Rs 184 and a target of Rs 195. HDFC and HDFC Bank have been in focus during the last few trading sessions. Thakkar has suggested BUY Call for HDFC Limited at current price with a stop loss of Rs 2,700 and a target of Rs 2,815.

Thakkar has suggested SELL Call for Titan at current levels with a stop loss of Rs 2,980 and a target of Rs 2,865.

Among other stocks, Adani Group stocks were trading with decline wiping out Rs 52,000 crore in valuations from Adani Group stocks. Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, BPCL, Tata Motors, UPL and Cipla were among major losers in today’s trade.

Among gainers were Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank, HDFC Bank, HDFC, HCL Technologies, Asian Paints, NTPC and Bajaj Auto.

Markets will be looking for cues from European opening and US Futures during the closing session. This week, Indian markets touched all-time highs. Market participants have been expecting a small correction which is considered as a buying opportunity by some traders. The medium term trend for Indian markets remains positive.
