London, November 28 : Four female sailors will endeavour to become the first women to row across the Indian Ocean– baring their navels.
TV producer Amy Green said that she along with Fiona Waller, Jo Jackson, Sarah Duff was eager to participate in the world’s first official Indian Ocean Rowing Race that is expected to take 75 days to complete.
The 33-year-old further said that it was the painful saltwater sores that the team dreaded because that could make them carry out the gruelling task without clothes.
The all girls team, which will face the shark-infested waters, 50ft waves and hurricane-force winds as part of the challenge, will be strapped to their 29-foot boat by safety cords.
