Washington, Apr 1 : Pop star Kelly Rowland has confirmed that she has split from Columbia records.
While reports suggest that Rowland was dropped by her record label, she insists that it was a mutual decision.
"Because Columbia Records has been my home base as an artist for more than a decade, the decision to move out on my own required a lot of soul-searching," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

Although Kelly's first two solo albums were major hits, the record label dropped her insisting that she was "no longer commercially viable".
Even though Kelly Rowland and Mathew Knowles split in early 2009, they insisted that they had mutually decided on continuing to be like a family.
