New Delhi, Jan 29: Bharatiya Janata Party senior leader L. K. Advani on Tuesday said the National Democratic Alliance can come back to the Centre if the BJP continues to be the party with a difference.
“We need to instill amongst the masses, the same kind of enthusiasm, confidence determination that we have seen in this national meet,” said Advani.
Speaking at the three-day party conclave, Advani accused the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government of giving undue leverage to the Left Parties.
New Delhi, Jan 22: In a bid to give a renewed look to the National Democratic Alliance, the parties who call themselves "friends", today held a "special meeting" at the residence of Lal Krishna Advani’s and decided to contest the next general elections under his leadership.
Putting rest to speculations making rounds for quite sometime, they also decided to retain Atal Behari Vajpayee as chairman and George Fernandes as convenor of the alliance.
New Delhi, Dec 28: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Lal Krishna Advani today said that that after winning Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly polls, the BJP is eyeing power at the Centre
"I am sure that the process of change that has begun will reach national politics. What has begun in 2007, will go ahead" Advani told reporters here.
"The process of change has begun this year and this change is in favour of the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party). But there was change in government in UP (Uttar Pradesh) also. The only satisfaction for the Congress party is Goa," he added.
Ahmedabad, Dec. 11 (ANI): The announcement of L K Advani’s elevation as the Bharatiya Janata Party's next Prime Ministerial candidate has not gone down well within the state, as the electorate of Gujarat doesn’t seem to be impressed with this sudden development.
Common voters are saying that the elections are being fought on the local issues and the Advani factor will have no bearing on poll results.
