London, Mar 28 : Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton has admitted that his F1 world title defence was already in trouble.

The Brit, who finished 16th and 18th in early qualifying for tomorrow's opener in Australia, said: "We're clearly not in the place where we would love to be. But we're working extremely hard, as hard as we can."

London, Mar 28 : British Formula One driver Jenson Button fears world champion and fellow countrymen Lewis Hamilton is an accident waiting to happen, with both his No. 1 status and welfare on the race circuit under threat.

A troubled Hamilton insists his McLaren is so uncompetitive that he may fail to win a point.

Button warns his British rival to expect an unfamiliar shunt or two if he is left fighting it out for the minor places instead of roaring away at the front of the grid.

London, Mar 28: Formula 1 ace Lewis Hamilton says that he will never let his Pussycat Doll girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger drive him around.

Hamilton, 24, admits that 30-year-old Scherzinger is “quite good” at map reading, but he still prefers to do the driving.

“I always drive whether we are in her car or mine. She knows I like to drive,” the Sun quoted him as saying.

London, Mar 27 : Celebrities like Lewis Hamilton, Paris Hilton, and Simon Cowell have decorated their own facemasks for an auction, aimed at raising 750,000 pounds for Africa.

Around 20 big names associated with business, sports, music and Hollywood have contributed to the auction by painting their own facemasks.

While Hilton has painted her mask with pink colour, including silver highlights with a purple headgear, Lewis Hamilton has painted his with red, black and silver colours.

London, Mar. 26 : Worries about how competitive McLaren might be in this racing season appears to have prompted a change of heart in 24-year-old Lewis Hamilton.

Rumours are in circulation that he could head to Ferrari where he would more than double his salary.

"I haven't had offers from other teams and I am not talking to anyone. But I would listen to an offer if someone asked. It would be a compliment and it would be silly if I did not," The Telegraph quoted Hamilton, as saying.

London, Mar. 25 : Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton is aware about his challengers, but believes he can relax with the public pressure now off.

Speaking on the Vodafone McLaren-Mercedes Teamcast, the 24-year old said: "I feel less pressure this season. All my life I've had pressure from myself to be the best. I still have that- but I'm able to handle it better."
