London, November 19 : An Arab sheikh, who had sued Michael Jackson for breaching a record deal, has claimed that he paid a Brit motivational expert 175,000 pounds to help the singer regain his confidence.
Prince Abdulla Al-Khalif, of Bahrain, alleged that the King of Pop had suffered stage fright post his child abuse trial and needed “creative assistance” so that he could honour a deal to produce two albums, a musical and a book with the royal, London’s High Court heard.
Washington, Nov 19 : An attorney for Michael Jackson has claimed that the singer is too sick to appear in court to testify in a lawsuit with an Arab sheikh.
The singer''s lawyer Robert Englehart told the High Court in London on Nov 18 (08) that Jackson is awaiting test results on a mystery illness and wants to give his testimony via video link from the U. S.
Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa of Bahrain is suing the Thriller hitmaker for 7 million dollars, reports Contactmusic.
The sheikh says Jackson reneged on a contract for an album, a candid autobiography and a stage play, after accepting millions of dollars in advance.
However, the pop star has denied the claims, insisting any monies given to him were as a gift.
London, Nov 17 : King of Pop Michael Jackson has been sued 4.3million pounds by an Arab sheik for not sticking to his record deal.
The lawsuit was brought about by Prince Abdulla Al-Khalif, of Bahrain, reports the Sun.
The Prince claims that Jacko had signed an exclusive deal for an autobiography, two albums and a musical, but that he never came through with the deal.
Washington, Nov 14 : Michael Jackson has been offered a deal of over 30 shows at the O2 Arena in London where he might be joined by sister Janet, according to reports.
AEG Live who have offered the deal to Michael have also asked Janet to join him on stage for the opening act.
The offer may turn out to be rather fruitful for both the siblings, reports Fox News.
Janet has had three dud albums in a row, and is now left with no record label. In fact, a string of cancelled shows recently has also become a plaguing issue for her.
Washington, November 13: ‘Doubt’, which is a film adaptation of John Patrick Shanley’s Pulitzer Prize winning play, is reportedly based on Michael Jackson’s child molestation trial.
The movie possibly reflects the King of Pop’s trial with its centre on a parish priest Father Flynn accused of sexually abusing a 12-year-old boy.
According to Fox News, the film bears common circumstantial evidence with the wine, private meetings and the special attention given to the boy by the priest.
