Gadkari says no decision taken on Government formation in Delhi

Nitin-gadkariNew Delhi, June 18 : Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday indicated that there was no decision taken on forming a BJP-led Government in the city state in his meeting with BJP MLAs at his residence.

"In the meeting, there has been no discussion or proposal regarding speculations of BJP forming a government in Delhi," Gadkari said.

There were reports on Tuesday claiming that several MLAs from the Congress and the AAP have been receiving phone calls, financial incentives in order to join BJP to form the government in Delhi. BJP was said to form government without going for fresh elections.

Gadkari calls for education of Muslims girls

Nitin-GadkariNagpur, Mar 9 : Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP) leader Nitin Gadkari has called for education, especially of computer knowledge for Muslim girls for the development of the country.

Addressing a gathering of Muslims here yesterday, Gadkari said: "We should give good education to the women in our family and also adequate computer knowledge.  I have donated computers to several Muslim organisations and asked them to pray ten times a day."

Arvind-KejriwalRohtak, (Haryana), Feb 28 : Delhi Metropolitan Magistrate Gomati Manocha on Friday asked former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal to appear before her court on April 7 to clear his name in connection with a criminal defamation complaint filed against him by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitin Gadkari.

It may be recalled that Kejriwal had included Gadkari's name in Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP's) list of "India's Most Corrupt".

Gadkari complained that Kejriwal had maligned his reputation.

"I know where and when this deal had been made. I do not want to name anyone but I know everything about it. The media has already started disclosing a few names," said Gadkari.

"The congress is making use of AAP. The AAP and the Congress are just devising ways to spoil the victory of BJP under the leadership of Narendra Modi," he said.

Nitin-GadkariNew Delhi, Dec 10  : The BJP Tuesday told its new legislators in Delhi to prepare for fresh polls after elections threw up a hung assembly, party sources said.

“Don't consider yourself as MLAs but as candidates,” a source quoted former party president Nitin Gadkari as telling the legislators after the party finished with 31 seats in the 70-member assembly.

The sources told IANS that Gadkari said the party was not keen to win over legislators from other parties to cobble a majority in the house.
