Robert De Niro may star with J Law again in Joy Mangano film

Robert De NiroWashington, Nov 12 : Robert De Niro may reteam with Jennifer Lawrence and David O. Russell in upcoming Fox 2000 project 'Joy.'

The film, which is based on the story of Joy Mangano , the inventor the Miracle Mop, would see Lawrence play the title role, while De Niro, 71, would play Mangano's father, if the deal is sealed, the Hollywood Reporter reported.

De Niro, Lawrence and Russell, who's rewriting the script by Annie Mumolo for the film, had worked in the 2012's Silver Linings Playbook, which had won the actor an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor, while the
24-year-old 'Hunger Games' star won best actress.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, they are in the early stages of negotiations for role in the film, which will be directed by Dan Mazer .

Sources revealed that De Niro will play a "perverted former Army general" who tricks his grandson, which will be played by Efron, to drive with him to Florida for spring break, as he thinks that he is marrying the wrong girl. (ANI)

De Niro, 70, who will soon be seen in upcoming comedy "Last Vegas" alongside Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline, has praised DiCaprio, 38, for his serious acting skills.

DiCaprio has featured in Scorsese's movies like "Gangs of New York", "The Aviator" and "The Departed".

The 66-year-old planned professional change after becoming good friends with hip-hop star 50 Cent on the set of ''Righteous Kill'' last year.

The Oscar-winning star contemplated the idea of recording a track with the singer.

"We had some good conversations. As for any future collaborations or rapping, you never know," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

The father-of-five further revealed he never thought of what to do if his acting failed to hit the mark.
