BJP seeks explanation from Kejriwal over AAP's 'illegal' funding

New Delhi [India], Oct. 14 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday sought an answer from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on the recent reports of using government funding on ad campaign.

"Arvind Kejriwal must come up and answer on this funding issue, as why so much of fiasco is taking place? Why so many complaints are coming?" BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain told ANI.

Hussain further said that AAP members are habitualized on slapping allegations against others but don't feel the need to provide an answer to the controversies surrounding their own party.

As per reports, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has reportedly used Rs 1.5 crore from the annual budget of Delhi for the campaigns in Punjab and Goa.

Pakistan should be proclaimed a terror state, isolated internationally, says BJP

Mumbai/Bhopal [India], Sept. 19 : Condemning the terror attack on an army unit in Uri, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday said Pakistan should be proclaimed a terror state and be isolated internationally.

"The time has come when it has become important to announce Pakistan as a terror state. The entire world should boycott Pakistan and should be announced as a country that promotes terrorism," BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain told ANI.

Hussain said Pakistan has become danger, not only for India, but for the entire world and added that India has tried to maintain friendship several times with Islamabad but they are not worth being friends.

"Digvijay Singh has said a correct thing (sic) that he (Rahul) is not Prime Minister material. He is talking about leader material. The country should know that he (Rahul) is not PM material," said BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain.

Shahnawaz-HussainNew Delhi, June 19 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain met Finance Minister Arun Jaitley at the South Block here today.

" Arun Jaitley has briefed us over the issues concerning the nation and in future also we will keep meeting him for further discussions. All the issues were discussed in the meeting and he gave us latest updates over many issues," said Hussain.

The meeting came ahead of the new government's first budget next month.

There were some other national issues apart from the budget which were on the Finance Minister's radar. (ANI)

No threat to Nitish Kumar government in Bihar: BJP

"The JD-U-BJP coalition government in Bihar is doing well in accordance with the aspirations of the people of the state and at present there is no controversy regarding that coalition," BJP spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain told the media here.

Speaking to mediapersons here, Hussain said that the law was equal for all, be it a lawmaker or a government officer, and added that the state government had taken the correct decision.

Four of his colleagues -- Ali Anwar (Janata Dal United), Girija Vyas and Sanjay Nirupam (both Congress) and T. K. S. Elangovan (DMK) were granted visas by the U. S. embassy.

Hussain said his documents were submitted to the embassy by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), and therefore, he could not understand the reason behind denial of a visa.

Hussain had suffered defeat in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections from his home constituency Kishanganj. However, he contested again to win the by-elections from Bhagalpur, defeating the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Shakuni Chaudhury.

Hussain said he was confident enough to win the constituency again.

Congress communalized terror, not BJP: Shahnawaz Hussain

New Delhi, Nov 23 : Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Union Minister Shahnawaz Hussain on Sunday said that it was the history of the Congress party to communalize the terror when Indira Gandhi used to be the prime minister of the country.

Speaking on the issue of the arrest of Sadhvi Pagnya Thakur for her suspected involvement in the Malegaon blast, he said: “Going by terminology, the leaders of the Congress have been calling Satwant and Beant Singh, “Sikhs”, Afzal Guru, “a Muslim”. And, now, they have invented a new word “Hindu terror”. So it''s a history of the Congress to communalize the terrorism,” said Shahnawaz Hussain, who is also the President of BJP''s Minority Cell.

Muslims protest against Jaipur bomb blasts

Shahnawaz Hussain said the community will fight against terrorism by all means.

"The Muslim community in India has taken a pledge to come together and fight against terrorism. As a minority community we appeal to the central government to take some strict action on this issue," said Hussain.
