The ''High School Musical'' stars reunited for ''High School Musical 3: Senior Year'', the latest movie in the Disney franchise, reports the China Daily.

"They rode the little-TV-movie-that-could, ''High School Musical,'' to box office gold and worldwide fame in 2008. And they have perfect teeth. But their love cannot last post-''High School Musical'', as their careers pull them apart, forever," a writer for the website said.

"So appreciate them now, while their love burns with the heat of a million flashbulbs. Congratulations to our Favourite Couple of 2008," the writer added.

There were more than 1500 screaming fans present at Sydney''s George St cinema precinct.

Some people had arrived at the venue at about 8am to get a front row view, hoping to get an autograph, a photo or just to catch a glimpse of the Disney stars.

“It’s fantastic ... amazing,” the Daily Telegraph quoted Efron as having said of the crowd reaction.
