PokerStars partners with PokerPower to launch Poker Women’s Bootcamp

Dublin-headquartered PokerStars, the largest real money online poker site in the world, recently announced the return of the PokerStars x PokerPower Women’s Bootcamp. The official return of the PokerStars x PokerPower Women’s Bootcamp is part of the company’s pursuit to expand its business and make sure poker stays available for all, including female players.

For hosting the aforementioned tournament, which is scheduled to start on 31st of July and will run through 28th of September, PokerStars has signed a new partnership deal with Chicago-based PokerPower. The main reason for organizing the upcoming event is to help poker beginners with learning skills & strategies to become good in this leisure activity. The tournament will consist of 8 modules, with each of them focusing on a specific part of the game. Additionally, the different modules will show how basic gameplay skills, ranging from strategic decision-making to negotiation for capital allocation, may be used for achieving success.

In addition to being available to female players across the world, the Bootcamp will allow all participants to practice what they have learnt while playing PokerStars Home Games. After the Bootcamp, the poker giant will organize a crescendo tournament, where the finalists will be able to win an all-expense paid trip to EPT Cyprus in October this year to take part in the PokerStars x Poker Power Women’s Bootcamp Showdown to further compete for an all-expense trip to EPT Prague in December this year.

Rebecca McAdam Willetts, Director of Partnerships, PR & Consumer Engagement, said in a statement that she and her team members were quite confident they could effect change with the numerous upcoming initiatives.

Commenting on the upcoming event, Willets further said, “We want to encourage more women to take their seat at the table, and in doing so, learn new skills that can also benefit them elsewhere in life. We want to create an accessible, safe and fun space for education and growth, where those new to the game can be vulnerable and open.”

Applications for the tournament are already open, with closing of the recruitment period officially set for 22nd of July. Participants will be able to learn poker-related skills & strategies from expert Poker Power instructors through the PokerPower Play mobile app, as well as PokerStars Ambassadors like Lali Tournier and Georgina James who will readily provide their support and guidance.
