Reddy Launches ‘Arogyasri’ In Hyderabad District

The rural people would no longer want to panic about money for their Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy medical treatment as they can now pay for medical services at the corporate hospitals under ‘Rajiv Arogyasri’ scheme.

Chief Minister Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy stated that approximately two crore white card holders in Hyderabad region will be benefited from the health insurance plan.

Flanked by Union Ministers P Chidambaram and S Jaipal Reddy, the Chief Minister formally launched the Rajiv Arogyasri scheme in Hyderabad district and kicked off the mega health camp organised at Nizam Grounds in the region.

While lecturing on the occasion, the Chief Minister stated that around 50 corporate hospitals in the region are providing free medical services upto Rs 2 lakh for the poor under the plan.

The premium of the insurance plan will be paid by State Government on behalf of the beneficiary, the minister added.

Union Minister for Finance P Chidambaram said that the welfare schemes being adopted by the State Government and promised all possible support from the Union Government.

Ministers Mohammad Ali Shabbir, P Aruna and K Mukesh Goud were also there.
