Sydney  - Two of Australia's biggest motorcycle gangs could soon be banned and their members arrested for associating with one another under new laws.

New South Wales Assistant Police Commissioner Catherine Burn said Wednesday that a wave of arrests in Sydney had laid the groundwork to push through legislation proposed last week after violent clashes between gangs.

Adelaide, Australia  - Australian former cycling world champion Jobie Dajka has been found dead in his home in Adelaide, the TV channel Nine Network said Tuesday.

A cause of death was not given.

The 27-year-old, who won the keirin world championship in 2002 and a year later won the silver medal, had a troubled history since being thrown off the Australian Olympic team in 2004 for lying during an investigation into drug use.

Melbourne, Apr 7 : A new survey has revealed that more than forty per cent of travellers believe that if there were more nudist beaches in Australia, it would help boost tourism.

The survey by totaltravel. com saw more than 1200 respondents saying that they were happy for people to strip down at the beach to attract more tourists, and believed that nudity "was natural and beautiful".

A quarter of those surveyed said that they did not care whether the people were naked or not on the beaches just "as long as they did not block the sun".

Melbourne, Apr 7 : ABBA star Bjorn Ulvaeus is just not in favour of the band's reunion because he feels that it would disappoint their fans.

The 4 member group - including Benny Andersson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Bjorn Ulvaeus and Agnetha Faltskog - parted in the early 1980s.

Though it was being anticipated that the band would reunite for a gig to thrill the fans, Bjorn has rebuffed the idea of a reunion.

Melbourne, April 7 : Outraged parents are demanding withdrawal of a sex education website endorsing abortion and giving pre-teens information about sexual pleasure.

The controversial site, thehormonefactory. com, has been approved as a student resource for Queensland Year 7 classes.

Educators say that it is a valuable, fun tool that helps children entering their teens learn about their bodies, but parents are angry over the site''s description of abortion as `a relief' and claims certain hormones make teens `feel sexy'.

Sydney - Australian-born cyclist Heinrich Haussler wants to ride in the green and gold of his homeland rather than represent his adopted country of Germany.

"I've noticed that I feel more Australian than German," the rising star of European road racing was quoted as saying Tuesday.

"In 2010, I will ride for Australia. My decision is final," Haussler told the cyclingnews website.

Haussler, 25, was born in Inverell, New South Wales, but moved to Germany at the age of 14 to take up a scholarship at a German sports school.
