Defamation case filed against ex-Bihar CM Rabri DeviPatna, Apr 13: Janata Dal- United (JD-U) leader Rajiv Ranjan Singh `Lalan' on Monday filed a defamation case against former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi for making inflammatory remarks against him and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar earlier this month.

The complaint said such malicious and slanderous statements did not behove a former Chief Minister.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate A. K. Jha received the case under Section 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Bihar police recover explosives from Maoists hideoutGaya (Bihar), Apr 10 : Bihar Police have recovered a huge cache of explosives hidden in a water tank by the Maoists in the Bhalua forest area of Gaya District.

Police have seized all the explosives.

"We raided a bunker and found arms and ammunitions stored in a water tank. There were seven country made sten guns and 16 bombs, weighing 20 kilograms. We are further investigating the incident," said M. R. Nayak, Superintendent of Police, Gaya.

"If anyone has given a wrong statement, legal action should be taken against him. But if anyone says that Lalu will crush Varun under a roller, no law permits this," said Kumar.
