Taipei - Taiwan police are searching for three Chinese tourists who disappeared while visiting the island, the third such incidence in a month, a newspaper said Thursday.

President Hu also rejected the argument which blames the development of big developing countries for hikes in world food prices, according to Xinhua news agency.

"That does not have to do anything with the facts, also it is not a constructional attitude to solving the problem," said Hu, who added that there are in fact multi-faceted and
complex factors behind the price hikes.

"Developing countries suffer most from rising food prices," he said.
