PakistanIslamabad - Pakistani security forces have killed 25 militants as a roadside bomb exploded next to a tanker carrying fuel for North Atlantic Treaty Organization troops in Afghanistan, leaving one dead in Pakistan's tribal region, officials said.

Meanwhile, two people were killed in the Dera Ismail Khan district in North West Frontier Province (NWFP) as the sectarian tensions between rival Sunni and Shiite Muslim groups continued to rise a day after a suicide bomber killed 35 people at a Shiite funeral.

Blast kills at least four at funeral in north-west Pakistan Islamabad  - A blast ripped through a funeral procession in north-western Pakistan Friday, killing at least four people and wounding several others, police said.

The attack took place in the town of Dera Ismail Khan in North-West Frontier Province near the Afghan border when Shiite Muslims were marching to a mosque to offer funeral prayers for a community member who was fatally shot Thursday.

"The explosion in the midst of the procession killed at least four people," police officer Mohammad Javed said.
