Kathmandu, August 23 : Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday called on for national consensus for fulfilling people’s aspiration to establish sustainable peace in the country, and added that bilateral ties with the neighbouring countries will rest on the Panchsheel.
Addressing the nation for the first time after becoming the prime minister, Dahal stressed that stability cannot be ensured with effort of a side.
Kathmandu, Aug 23: Nepal’s Prime Minister Prachanda is scheduled to leave for Beijing today to attend the Olympics closing ceremony.
During his visit Prachanda'' will meet Chinese President Hu Jintao.
He will also meet Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao. He will attend a luncheon hosted by Jiabao in honor of visiting heads of State and Government.

Kathmandu - Nepal's new Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Saturday called for national reconciliation to bury past enmity that saw thousands of people killed in a decade-long armed insurgency.
The premier, also known as Prachanda, is a former Maoist guerilla commander who led the insurgency.
"I ask the Nepalese army, police, armed police and the National Investigation Department to forget the bitter past born out of the conflict and urge them to forge national unity and move ahead," Prachanda said in his first address to the nation since taking office last week.
Kathmandu, Aug. 22 : The three-party coalition of Nepal to lead the new government has announced a 19-point code of conduct to be followed by ministers.
The code of conduct was signed by leaders of the three-party alliance, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda", the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN-UML) general secretary Jhala Nath Khanal and Chairman Upendra Yadhav of the Madhesi People''s Rights Forum (MPRF), , The Rising Nepal reported.
Kathmandu, Aug 22: Political leaders and experts in Nepal have blamed the Nepal Government’s negligence and the Indian Government’s bullying tactics for the breach of the Saptakoshi embankment.
Water resources and disaster management experts stressed on the need to revise the treaty between both nations regarding the Koshi Barrage, Kantipuronline reported.
“The people of Sunsari district have been victimised by the Indian Government’s bully nature,” Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist leader Dinanath Sharma was quoted, as saying.
