Addressing his first election rally here after recovering from a heart bypass surgery, Dr. Singh said, "When our government started the nuclear deal negotiations with the US to end India''s nuclear isolation and to provide the much-needed energy for development, the Left opposed and walked out of our government. Time will prove the wisdom of our decision."

Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan SinghNew Delhi, Apr. 11: Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh is scheduled to visit Kerala on a daylong election campaign today.

“After addressing an election rally in Kochi, Dr. Singh will arrive here to address a public meeting at 3 pm,” DCC President K C Abu told reporters in Kozhikode.

Union ministers A K Antony and Vayalar Ravi besides Opposition Leader in the state assembly Oommen Chandy and KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala would also be present, he added.

On Friday, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi made a brief electioneering tour of the state.

PM to visit Kerala on April 11Kozhikode, Apr 9 : Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit Kerala for a day-long election campaign on April 11.

Talking to reporters here, District Congress Committee (DCC) President K C Abu revealed that after addressing an election rally in Kochi, Singh would visit Kozhikode to address a public meeting there at 3 p. m.

He further informed that Union Defence Minister A K Antony, Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi, Opposition Leader Oommen Chandy and Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Ramesh Chennithala would be present.
