Sun TV To Launch 'FM Station' In Nasik & Vadodara Under ‘SFM’

India’s second largest TV network Sun TV Network is all set to launch its FMSun TV To Launch FM Stations At Nasik & Vadodara Radio Stations at Nasik and Vadodara, under the brand name ‘SFM’ from April 17, 2008.

The company will launch the new FM stations through its subsidiary ‘South Asia FM Ltd’. The new launchings will boost up the total number of Sun’s radio stations to 32 across the country.

Heard at 93.5 MHz frequency in Nasik and Vadodara, the new FM Radio Stations will cater to the audience of all age groups.

No change in India’s Pak policy post Feb 18 polls: A K Antony

Nashik, Mar 15: Defence Minister A K AntonyDefence Minister A K Antony today said that there is no change in India's Pakistan policy after general elections in the neighbouring country.

"There was no change in our policy towards Pakistan," he told reporters at the Hindustan Aeronautics complex here.

Antony was replying to a question about India's stand after the February 18 polls in Pakistan, where Nawaz Sharif-led PML (N) and the Pakistan People's Party have emerged as the dominant political force.

Nasik holds peace rally to soothe frayed north Indian nerves

Nasik, Feb 15: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Raj ThackerayPolice and civic authorities sponsored a peace rally here on Thursday to soothen the nerves of north Indian migrants after days of ethnic violence in the city.

"North Indians had started to feel threatened, and around 5,000 to 6,000 of them left the place within four to five days. To calm down their fears, we decided on this rally," Nasik's police chief, S. M. Sayeed, said.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists had unleashed a wave of terror in Nasik and other Maharashtrian cities, including Mumbai, against north Indians.

Nasik MNS secretary Vasant Gite released on bail

Nasik, Feb. 14: Party chief Raj ThackerayThe general secretary of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's Nasik unit, Vasant Gite, who was detained as a preventive measure ahead of party chief Raj Thackeray's arrest, was released on bail on Thursday.

Gite was taken into preventive custody along with two other Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leaders, Sampat Jadhav and Haribhau Lonari on Wednesday.

MNS workers on rampage in Nasik

Nasik, Feb 12:MNS workers on rampage in Nasik Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists indulged in acts of violence in Nasik today, few hours after the party had announced that their chief, Raj Thackeray, would not seek anticipatory bail ahead of his impending arrest.

MNS workers destroyed shops owned by North Indians in Nasik. Police detained at least 26 MNS workers.

Earlier, a party spokesman said Thackeray had decided not to seek anticipatory bail.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Police have beefed up security at Thackeray’s residence after a case was registered against him for disturbing harmony in the city.
