Lalu accuses Nitish, Rudy of poll malpracticePatna, Apr. 16 : Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav on Thursday accused his BJP rival Rajiv Pratap Rudy and the Nitish Kumar-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government in Bihar of electoral malpractice.

Lalu, whose political future is to be decided by the voter turnout today, claimed that socially underprivileged sections like Dalits were not allowed to vote in his Saran (Chhapra) parliamentary constituency on Thursday, and those who attempted to do so, were attacked by upper caste voters.

Bihar issues shoot-at-sight orders ahead of polls

BiharPatna, Apr. 15 : Shoot-at-sight orders have been issued across Bihar in the run-up to Thursday''s first phase election in 13 out of 40 Lok Sabha constituencies.

The state''s borders with Nepal and neighbouring states have also been sealed.

In an interview to Times Now, Lalu said: I will not respond to hypothetical situations. I can only say that the Yadav front is unbreakable. Those who want to join the NDA can do so, but we have kept all our options open as far as the Third Front is concerned."

"I am certain after going across the country and reading people's mood that the BJP will emerge as the biggest party in the elections," Advani told reporters here.

The BJP leader said with several alliance partners of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) deserting it, his party has an advantage in the general elections.
