Ranchi, Oct 31 : At least 11 soldiers of the Chhattisgarh Special Armed Force were today injured in a landmine blast in Chhattisgarh''s Narayanpur District.

Though people in general worship the idols of Goddess Durga on this occasion in makeshift temples or Pandals in different States, these people in Jharkhand worship their weapons as per Nepalese culture.
Ranchi, Sep. 21 : Sudhir Mahto, the Deputy Chief Minister of Jharkhand, was a furious and an embarrassed man on Friday after finding his personal belonging missing from the State Assembly, the building of the State Legislature.
“I really don''t know how should I react. Sometimes it seems so funny. How can I loose my bag that too from Assembly? It''s really shocking. I never expected that such kind of a thing can happen inside Assembly too. I lost four mobiles, around 10,000 rupees in cash and some documents," said Sudhir Mahto, the deputy Chief Minister.
The incident left one and all smiling and surprised.
Ranchi, Sept 1 : Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren, who was sworn-in as the state''s chief minister for the second time, will prove his majority on the floor of the State Assembly today.
Earlier, Governor Syed Sibtey Razi had directed Soren to prove his majority on the floor of the House by Monday.
Ranchi, Aug 29 : Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren today proved majority on the floor of the State Assembly, receiving 42 votes in favour and 34 against him.
State Governor Syed Sibtey Razi administered the oath of office and secrecy to Soren and 11 of his cabinet colleagues on Wednesday.
The 11 ministers are Stephen Marandi (Independent), Sudhir Mahto (JMM), Kamlesh Kumar Singh (Nationalist Congress Party-NCP), Anosh Ekka (Ind.), Hari Narayan Rai
(Ind.), Joba Majhi (Ind.), Nalin Soren (JMM), Bandhu Tirkey (Ind.), Aparna Sengupta (Forward Bloc), Dulal Bhuiya (JMM), Bhanu Pratap Sahi (Ind).
