Caterham ties up with fashion brand McGregor

The McGregor logo now appears on the CT03 and across all of the Caterham's F1 branding platforms.

Caterham-CT03Jerez, Feb 5 : Caterham Formula 1 team's 2013 car was unveiled in the pitlane of the Circuito de Jerez here on day one of the first pre-season test.

The CT 03 was revealed by the team's drivers Charles Pic and Giedo van der Garde.

The car has technical features that distinguish it from its predecessor, CT01, and it will race in an updated livery which sees the team's green and yellow paint-scheme refreshed and lightened for the season ahead.

Alonso pulls out from Spanish squad for Uruguay friendly

Xabi-AlonsMadrid, Feb 4 : Real Madrid soccer star Xabi Alonso pulled out of the Spanish team for the international friendly against Uruguay slated for Wednesday.

Alonso, who played in Madrid's 0-1 defeat in Granada Saturday night has been forced out of the game after suffering a pelvic injury, reports Xinhua.

"At the end of the game, the Real Madrid medical services got in contact with those of the Spanish football Federation (RFEF) to indicate the condition of the player, who felt serious problems in his pelvic area," explained a communique issued by the Real Madrid press office.

Mourinho fumes after Granada defeat

The Congolese defender has been heavily linked with a move to Queens Park Rangers (QPR) before the transfer window shuts Thursday.

"He left for England yesterday. I hope that today or tomorrow we'll find out what has really happened. It's a shame to talk about this but he didn't even say goodbye, he didn't explain anything to us. Whatever happens to you, you should take into account the people with whom you work," Hiddink said.

Real Madrid re-sign Lopez

Diego-LopezMadrid, Jan 26 : Real Madrid announced the signing of Sevilla goalkeeper Diego Lopez to cover the loss of Iker Casillas, who will be out of action for almost three months after breaking a bone in his left hand.

Lopez, who is a product of the Real Madrid youth system, returns to the club for 4.5 million euros (around $6 million), completing a round trip which has taken him to Villarreal and Sevilla, reports Xinhua.

The 31-year-old played for the Real Madrid C and B teams before being promoted to the A team as substitute to Casillas but left the club in 2007 in order to play A team football.

The drop in the GDP was due to a decline in domestic consumption and investment, the Bank of Spain said.

Employment fell last year at a faster rate than in 2011, with the drop estimated at 4.3 percent, due in large part to cuts in public sector jobs, the central bank said.

Oltra, who last season oversaw Deportivo's return to the Spanish top flight, has paid the price for a poor start to the season which leaves the club bottom of the table with just 12 points from 17 matches, reports Xinhua.

Deportivo began the season brightly but that early season form has slipped away and the side from the north-west of Spain have taken just three points from their last eight matches.

Evictions rise in Spain

Evictions rise in SpainMadrid, Dec 28 - Eviction proceedings in Spanish courts rose to a record 49,702 as of Sep 30, up 15.9 percent from the same period in 2011, authorities said Thursday.

Total evictions so far in 2012 have topped the 47,809 registered in all of 2010, the Judicial Branch General Council figures show.

Evictions rose 15.9 percent in the third quarter, compared to the same period in 2011, but they fell from 18,668 in the second quarter to 12,610.
