Rentokil India Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of UK-based Rentokil Initial PLC, is planning to invest about $25-30 million (about Rs 105-126 crore) in its pest control business over the next three years.

Rentokil entered the country in 2007 end by acquiring a local company. In the last six months, it acquired over six companies in the south and is planning to acquire 4 to 5 more companies, which are in the pest control business.

Apart from these acquisitions, the company is also looking at a pan-India presence by end of next year.

London, Aug 16 : As a major surprise for the beleaguered Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, former Pakistan premier Benazir Bhutto’s niece Fatima Bhutto has come out in his open support, saying that both PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif were enjoying power even without being a member of the National Assembly.

Fatima, who still strongly believes that Zardari was behind her father Murtaza Bhutto’s murder, further alleged that their coterie of advisers was also not elected to the National Assembly.

London, Aug. 16 : Human Rights Watch (HRW) officials have claimed that they have evidence of Russia using cluster bombs against civilian targets and infrastructure in Georgia.

Citing eyewitness accounts, as well as video and photographic evidence, the HRW officials said that Russian aircraft dropped RBK-250 cluster bombs, each containing 30 PTAB 2.5M submunitions, on the town of Ruisi in the Kareli district of Georgia on Tuesday.

London, Aug 16 : Omkari Panwar, from Uttar Pradesh, India, who became the world’s oldest mum at the grand age of 70, has finally reunited with her newborns after they were released from the hospital.

Omkari gave birth to a boy and girl by caesarean section at 34 weeks in June, but since the infants weighed just 2lbs each, they were kept in the ICU for several weeks.

The new parents are thrilled to be reunited with their newborns.

“I can die happy now,” The Sun quoted Charan, as saying.
