London, Apr 29 : A Brit woman, who altered her name to Pudsey Bear after raising 4,000 pounds for Children In Need, has been refused a passport in her new name as the change was considered "frivolous."
Eileen De Bont, 37, a receptionist, had legally adopted the name of the BBC appeal''''s mascot and even updated it on all her documents, but when she applied for a new passport with the name, the application was turned down.
London, Apr 29 : American actor Mickey Rourke has revealed that his wrestling match with Chris Jericho was nowhere easy and he ended up with a broken hand.
Rourke, 56, had faced the professional grappler earlier this month at the WWE's Wrestlemania 25 in Houston, Texas, following a bitter and public war of words with Jericho.
The actor is said to have left his fans stunned after he stood up from his seat in the crowd, clambered over the guard ropes and delivered a punch that left Jericho reeling.
Colombo- The foreign ministers of Britain and France met with their Sri Lankan counterpart Wednesday amid protests from Buddhist monks calling for an end to foreign interference in Colombo's war against Tamil separatist rebels in the north-east of the country. British Foreign Minister David Miliband and his French counterpart, Bernard Kouchner, met behind closed doors with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama and were due to meet President Mahinda Rajapaksa later in the day before visiting refugee camps in the Vavuniya area, 254 kilometres north of Colombo.

The Oz hunk thought of stepping down after he thought his character was not developing the way it was meant to.
"One thing I never felt we got with Wolverine that I really wanted to get is that berserker rage which is talked about in the comic books," The Daily Express quoted Hugh, as saying.
London, Apr 29 : In the world''s largest DNA scan for autism, US scientists have uncovered a new gene variant, called CDH10, which is highly common in children suffering from the disorder.
In partnership with 30 research institutions across the US, scientists scrutinized the activity of CDH10 and found that it is most active in key regions that support language, speech and interpreting social behaviour.
The two findings suggest that CDH10 plays a critical role in shaping the developing brain and may contribute to a prenatal risk of autism.
