London, April 27 : A team of researchers at the University of Portsmouth, UK, has claimed to have solved the ancient Mediterranean mystery of how 2 feet deep tracks were cut into the rock of Malta.
According to a report in The News, the research team was led by Professor Derek Mottershead, of the university's geography department, who followed generations of scholars to unravel the mysteries of the Maltese landscape.
London, April 27 : A record number of women have been rushing to the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) for cervical smear tests since Jade Goody lost her life to the disease on March 22.
According to Sara Hiom from Cancer Research UK, the tragic demise of the late reality star, who passed away aged 27, had sent the number of examinations soaring sky high.
“The Jade effect” had left waiting time for the tests leap from two weeks to as much as two months while the number of hits on the Cancer Research UK website’s cervical cancer pages had also jumped from 100,000 in January to nearly 400,000.

However, the survey for carmakers Vauxhall found that the figure differed according to where people were questioned.
Cambridge residents were the most adventurous travellers, visiting 40 other cities.
On the other hand, people in Birmingham visited the least number of other cities-23.
