The white girl belongs to a broken home and lives in a deprived part of the South West.
The young mum was not even aware that she was expecting, and was taken to hospital suffering stomach pains and feeling "under the weather".
"It was a shock. She had been feeling unwell for a while, fainting. We took her to hospital for tests, and she gave birth," The Sun quoted a family friend as saying.
London, Apr 25 : In a breakthrough study, California researchers have successfully grown blood vessels from kidney patients' own skin cells, a development that will increase the ease and safety of dialysis.
The researchers hope that the new technique can one day be used to grow internal organs as well.
It is the first complex bioengineered tissue part built without synthetic components.
Earlier, the bioengineers have only been able to grow sheet-like tissue such as skin from cells alone.

London - Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas was charged on Friday with improper conduct, following accusations he spat at Hull City assistant manager Brian Horton.
There were angry scenes after the end of Hull's 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in the FA Cup quarter-final on March 17.
Fabregas was not playing in the game as he recovered from a knee injury, but left the stand to celebrate with his team-mates.
"Fabregas has been charged for improper conduct on the night," Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger told journalists.
