Washington, Sept 17 : Teen sensation Miley Cyrus will be starring in a new Disney film, which will be an untitled adaptation of a novel by author Nicholas Sparks, written specially for the ‘Hannah Montana’ star.

Sparks is working on an untitled novel and at the same time writing the screenplay adaptation for the film.

Disney-based Offspring Entertainment partners Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot will produce the new film and Tish Cyrus will be exec producer.

The idea for the film, according to Gibgot, came when Disney exec Jason Reed met the actress, and she mentioned "A Walk to Remember" as an example of what she hoped for.

Washington, Sept 17 : A team of scientists from Yerkes National Primate Research Center and the Emory Vaccine Center has reached a step closer to determining why SIV and HIV infection leads to AIDS in some primate species but not others.

Studying the mangabeys, the natural hosts for the AIDS viruses that remain healthy despite SIV infection, the researchers have found that their immune systems are activated to a significantly lower extent during the infection than are the immune systems of rhesus macaques.

The researchers say that this difference may explain why SIV and HIV infection leads to AIDS in some primate species but not others.

With the researchers'' efforts students will be able to learn environments using interactive multi-touch desks that look and act like a large version of an Apple iPhone.

Researchers at the Technology-Enhanced Learning Research Group (TEL) at Durham University are designing an interactive classroom solution called ''SynergyNet'' which aims at achieving active student engagement and learning by sharing, problem-solving and creating.

Washington, Sept. 17 : Senator John McCain is scrambling to recast himself as a champion of regulation to end "reckless conduct, corruption and unbridled greed" on Wall Street.

"The Government has a clear responsibility to act in defense of the public interest, and that''s exactly what I intend to do," a fiery McCain said at a rally in Tampa, Florida.

"In my administration, we''re going to hold people on Wall Street responsible. And we''re going to enact and enforce reforms to make sure that these outrages never happen in the first place," the Washington Post quoted him, as saying.

The researchers from Universite de Montreal, the University of New Brunswick and Tufts University have found that girls living in poor neighbourhoods were more likely to engage in sexual intercourse in early adolescence and that too with older boys.
