Samsung 8 MP Touch Phone Launched In IndiaTechnology is changing at a faster pace day-by-day, and it always bring good news for all. And especially those who are gizmo buffs benefited the most.

This time, Samsung launched its first 8 megapixel touchscreen phone, named Pixon M8800 for Indians.

The new member in Samsung’s touchscreen portfolio offers maximum image resolution of 3264x2448 with auto-focus, face-recognition, Wide Dynamic Range, Advance Shake Reduction, GPS geo-tagging support, and WSVGA and VGA video recording at 30fps.

The 8 megapixel camera, which comes with a 3.2-inch WQVGA large full touchscreen, has a support for Samsung TouchWiz user interface for intuitive tap, sweep, drag and drop operations plus live Home Screen Widgets such as weather info, Google Search etc.

With an onscreen QWERTY keyboard, the 3G capable Pixon sports onscreen handwriting recognition that lets users to email, message and enjoy other inputs.

While announcing the launch, Mr. Sunil Dutt, Country Head, Samsung Telecom Division said, “Pixon is made for users who want to experience full multimedia entertainment on their mobile phone with the ease of a touch.”

The phone with support for a broad range of video player formats including DivX, Xvid, MP4, also has automatic screen orientation turning every video clip and film more naturalistic than ever.

Music buffs need not to worry as the phone sports an advanced Music Player with SRS 3D surround sound.

Pixon is also a surprise package for gamers as it comes pre-embedded with lots of popular games including Brain Challenge, Diamond Twister, and Millionaire-3.

Despite all these games, gamers can also get pleasure from the motion-sensor based game -- Tumbling Dice game, which can be played by shaking the cell phone.

The other astounding features of the phone include accelerometer for auto-rotate, TV-out, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, microUSB 2.0 and a high-capacity 1000 mAh Li-Ion battery (up to 290h standby time and up to 3h and 40m talk time).

Priced at Rs 28,750, the phone offers support for both HSDPA high speed Internet with up to 7.2 download speed and UMTS capability providing commodious and nonstop Internet experience to the users.

Other touchscreen phones that come under Samsung’s range include Samsung Omnia (i900), Samsung TouchWiz (F480) and Samsung i780.
