Samsung, Alltel jointly launch ‘Samsung Delve’

Samsung, Alltel jointly launch ‘Samsung Delve’America’s largest network, Alltel Wireless and Samsung telecommunications America (Samsung) have jointly launched the much-awaited ‘Samsung Delve’ in the US markets.

The stylish Samsung Delve comes up with a spontaneous interface and attractive touchscreen design. The phone boasts a virtual QWERTY keyboard with Samsung’s TouchWiz interface that comprises specially designed gadgets. With this unique feature, users can easily customize and personalize their handsets.

The phone also features an MP3 player, and the 2.0 megapixel camera with several preloaded applications that offer enhanced entertainment experience, includingAlltel ( News-Alert) Pic Transfer, Alltel Mobile Advisor, City Id, Collapse Chaos and Wallpaper Universe.
 
Besides this, the phone also brings the following: an expandable MicroSD memory slot and an industry standard 3.5 millimeter headset jack, an additional battery, bluetooth, a stylus, soft protective case, travel charger, stereo headset and PC data cable.

Announcing the launch, Brian Ullem (Vice-President, device strategy, Alltel Wireless) said, “There is a paradigm shift in the way users are interacting with their wireless devices, and Alltel is at the forefront of creating new ways for users to harness the power of their mobile phones.”

“The Samsung Delve boasts a new, powerful user interface using ‘widgets’ customers can drag and drop to configure their phone. It offers a new level of control and convenience,” added Ullem.

Commenting over Samsung Delve, Bill Ogle (CEO, Samsung Mobile) said, “The customizable features of the Samsung Delve make it easy for people to use and navigate.”

The smart Samsung Delve can be bought at alltel.com for $199.99 (approx. Rs 9,850). From November 6 the phone will also be available to buy in retail stores and at shopalltel.com.
