Samsung Rolls Out Eight New Mobile Phones In Indian Market

Samsung Telecommunications India (STI) has made announcement about Samsung's SGH-E251 Mobile Handsetthe launching of its seven new stylish mobile handsets across the popular ‘Guru’ series in addition to its flagship model “Soul” (SGH-U900), in the Indian market.

While speaking at the launch, Mr. Sunil Dutt, country head of Samsung Telecommunications India, stated, “We believe that the Soul is the answer for today's style-conscious consumers, looking for a perfect blend of outstanding quality, design, and performance.”

Priced at Rs 20,585, ‘Soul’ sleek smartphone comes pack with a variety of applications and features, which includes ‘Magic Touch’ navigation indicators, a 5 megapixel camera, a 7.2 Mbps high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) browser for fast Internet access and faster downloads.

The ‘Soul’ is just 12.9mm thick, and sports an artistic design with full metal body and premium look and feel. Moreover, it also features Music library navigation and digital power amplifier by ICEpower technology.

Samsung’s new launches in the business segment include ‘SGH-i780’ and ‘D780’.

Priced at Rs 25,000, the sleek SGH-i780 features a full QWERTY keyboard and a full touch-screen. It has GPS capabilities, Wi-fi support, an optical mouse and 2 mega pixels camera. The new SGH-i780 runs on Windows Mobile 6.0; and also offers push email, MS Office, and MSN Chat.

The other phone in the business category, the D780, is a tri-band, dual-SIM phone, which has the following features such as SIM toggle key, 2.1-inches QVGA TFT display, 2 mega pixels camera, FM alarm, MP3 music player, email with XHTML, Bluetooth and Bluetooth printing capability, and support for up to 11 hours battery talk time.

In the multimedia group, Samsung launched the SGH-E251, SGH-M120, and SGH-J150 mobile handsets available in the price range between Rs 3795 to Rs 5300.

Samsung’s newest music phone named, SGH-E251 features dedicated music control keys, 1GB content loaded MicroSD, FM radio with RDS, and MP3 music player. On the other hand, the SGH-M120 features a modish chrome finish, and has MP3 music player, stereo FM radio, video camera, GPRS Class 10, Cricket game and call time tracker, Hinglish messaging, and 10MB internal memory.
The SGH-J150 is just 9.9 mm thick and sports a metallic look. It features a 1.9-inches display, 1.3 mega pixels camera, MP3 music player, FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and expandable memory (MicroSD).

The other phone under the same (multimedia) category is the BeaT450, which is available at a price of Rs 14,799. It has the capability to cheer up the ultimate music theatre experience by offering 3D surround sound through amplifiers.

Finally, Samsung rolled out two new ‘Guru’ mobile phones including the ‘Guru 145’ and the ‘Guru 300’.

Priced at just Rs 1,696, the Guru 145 represents entry-level in the Guru series. It features a 65k color CSTN display, speaker phone, mobile tracker, 16 poly-phonic ring tones, and 8 hours battery talk time.

The Guru 300, is a modish pearl-finish flip phone, which is available at a price of Rs 2,999. It offers multimedia features including FM recording, MP3 ring tones, Hinglish messaging, Indian calendar, and Java games (Cricket and Sudoku).

Apart from mobile phones, Samsung also launched a range of stylish mobile accessories that includes Bluetooth headsets- both Mono and Stereo, Portable speakers, handsfree, car adaptor and other standard accessories, which offers users an opportunity to personalize their cell phones.
