Samsung Rolls Out Its First ‘HSUPA’ Handset In South Korea

Samsung Electronic has toughened the competition in the mobile market bySamsing's SCH-M470 unveiling its first HSUPA mobile phone named ‘SCH-M470’ in the South Korean market.

Developed by Nokia, HSUPA (High-Speed Uplink Packet Access) is a 3G mobile telephony protocol, which comes under the HSPA family with uplink speeds up to 5.76 Mbit/s.

The slider-type phone is capable of sending data at a speed of 2Mbps (bit per second) on an HSUPA network. It is believed that this new handset takes just 30 seconds to transfer an average MP3 song file through its HSUPA technology.

As compared to the WCDMA network, the newly launched phone delivers five time quicker data uploading.

The Samsung SCH-M470 slider phone can also fulfill the increasing needs of individuals those who prefer making use of cell phones for internet surfing and downloading.

Apart from Samsung SCH-M470’s HSUPA technology, the new device comes packed with amazing features that include WiFi network, Bluetooth and a 2 mega pixel camera. Besides, the phone also provides Push email support and Google search facility.

Priced around USD 600, the new sleek slider phone is immediately available in the South Korean market.
