Samsung Rolls Out Its Latest Series Of CDMA Phones In India In a bid to attract Indian consumers, South Korean major Samsung has introduced its MPower series of CDMA phones - MPower 569 and MPower 309.

The Mpower series of CDMA phones have the capacity of operating on Reliance Mobile, Tata Indicom and Virgin Mobile.

Both MPower 569 and MPower 309 support high speed wireless data of up to 153kbps which provide fast internet browsing experience on the Phone.

Apart from this, these phones also perform the function of data cards on connection to laptops through Bluetooth or data cable, thus a consumer does not need to buy separate data cards.

Speaking on this, Sunil Dutt (Samsung Telecom Division's Country Head) said, “The MPower series is unique in that they allow the users to seamlessly shift between any of the three CDMA operators. By making the phones available in the open market, we are making our phones available to a wider base of CDMA consumers.”

Samsung MPower 309: Who would not want to own this latest technology, and that too just for a price of Rs 6,300. Apart from having a 1.3 megapixel camera, MPower 309 also support for Bluetooth. It also supports MicroSD card up to 4GB.

Samsung MPower 569: This multimedia enabled phone comes with 2Megapixel camera, FM Recording on Micro SD Card, expandable memory upto 4GB, Blue tooth with Stereo Headset function, video recording and MMS support. M569 is priced at Rs 9,900.

Both M569 and M309 phones have the Mobile tracker to ensure that the phones can be traced in case of theft.

It may be recalled here that this is not the first time that Samsung has launched its CDMA phones in the Indian markets. The company had earlier launched Samsung Max in November 2007 and Samsung 20N in February 2008.
