Samsung SGH-i200 Mobile Phone To Hit European Market By June

Samsung has made announcement about the launching of its slim WindowsSamsung i200 Mobile handset, named ‘SGH-i200,’ which will hit European market by next month (June 2008).

Targeting business experts, the 11.8 mm thick SGH-i200 is said to be the world’s thinnest phone, which runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. Besides, it also supports Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

The i200 comes packed with a 2.3 inch QVGA TFT display, a 2 megapixel camera, media player, and a light sensor through which users can adjust the light of the keypad and LCD to reduce battery consumption. The media player also backs up WMA, MP3, AAC, AAC+, EAAC+, OGG and AMR file formats.

Measuring 116×50.8×11.8mm, the newly launched phone offers up amazing speed via its HSDPA 3.6 Mbps data communications.

Geesung Choi, President of Samsung's Telecom Business, stated, “Samsung i200 is the young, stylish and energetic mobile which will be the perfect mate for urban business professionals.”

“Samsung is going to offer more diverse smartphones for business professionals in line with its recently declared strategy, 'a mobile for every lifestyle,” Mr. Choi added.

This smartphone’s battery life is rated up to 4 hours talk time and 15 days standby time.

The other amazing features of the phone include HTML format emailing, SMS/MMS management and automatic pop-ups for emails and messages, expandable memory with microSD cards and many others.

Samsung i200 will hit European markets in June, and will enter other markets within a month. However, the company has not disclosed the pricing details up till now.
